Ginella Massa makes hijab history on prime-time news
It’s 2021, it seems like an end of an era and time for a new beginning. Canada has a new news anchor that looks different that the previous hosts. Finally, some representation for women that wear a hijab in corporate places.
The 33-year old news anchor is broadcasted every day at prime-time television. Ginella was already a news responder for several years, but now she is the face of CityNews.
“There is no need to focus on the hijab”
There shouldn’t be any discrimination on women who wear a hijab. Black women go through so much discrimination weather to wear their hair natural, textured, relaxed, under a wig of weave, braided or a headscarf.
“Maybe you should focus on what’s inside head and not what’s on my head”.
